Syngonium Confetti – a soft, cheerful burst of pink-speckled foliage that brings a gentle, uplifting energy into any room. This variety of Syngonium podophyllum stands out thanks to its delicate arrow-shaped leaves painted with subtle cream tones and naturally scattered blush-pink markings. Light, airy, and expressive, Syngonium Confetti adds a touch of personality without overwhelming your space, making it a favorite for both new plant owners and seasoned collectors in Megagarden’s community.
Plant Description & Characteristics
Botanical name: Syngonium podophyllum ‘Confetti’
This evergreen tropical climber grows as a compact vine in early stages, later developing longer stems that can either trail or climb when supported. Its foliage ranges from light green to pale cream, accented with random pastel-pink speckles and gentle variegation along the veins. Mature plants typically reach around 1 ft tall and 1 ft wide indoors. Like other arrowhead vines, Syngonium Confetti adapts easily, but its pink tones appear brightest in bright, indirect light.
Growing Conditions & Practical Care Tips
Syngonium Confetti thrives in bright, indirect light, which helps maintain strong coloration and prevents stretching. Low light is tolerated, but pink variegation may fade. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch its thin leaves.
Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry, keeping the mix slightly moist but never wet. Use a well-draining blend—indoor potting soil with perlite and a bit of orchid bark works beautifully. The plant prefers moderate to high humidity, making it ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, or living spaces with a humidifier.
Repot every 1–2 years or when roots appear at drainage holes. Pruning encourages a full shape, while longer stems can be placed on a moss pole or allowed to trail from shelves or hanging planters. Cuttings root easily in water or moist soil, making propagation simple.
Syngonium Confetti pairs well with other tropical foliage plants—such as philodendrons, monsteras, and calatheas—creating lush, soft-textured compositions. Because it’s a climber, it also complements upright houseplants by adding movement and contrast.
Note: Like all Syngonium varieties, it is toxic to pets and humans if ingested, so place it out of reach of curious animals and small children.
