Syngonium Albo (White Variegated Arrowhead Vine)

The Syngonium Albo is an elegant tropical houseplant prized for its unique marbled foliage and graceful, arrow-shaped leaves. Each leaf features a distinctive white variegation pattern, making every plant truly one of a kind. Native to Central and South America, this climbing aroid brings a touch of the rainforest indoors, thriving both as a trailing vine or as an upright specimen when supported by a moss pole or trellis.

In maturity, Syngonium Albo can reach 3–6 feet tall and 1–2 feet wide, forming lush, cascading greenery. Its growth habit allows flexibility in styling—perfect for tabletops, hanging baskets, or as a statement floor plant. The creamy-white variegation contrasts beautifully with deep green, creating a sophisticated, living piece of décor.

Care Tips

Place Syngonium Albo in bright, indirect light to maintain its striking variegation. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the white portions, while insufficient light may cause leaves to turn solid green. East- or west-facing windows are ideal.
Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil are dry. Overwatering can lead to root rot, while prolonged dryness may cause brown, crispy tips. During the growing season, feed monthly with a balanced houseplant fertilizer diluted to half strength.

This variety enjoys moderate humidity (around 50–60%). To boost moisture in drier homes, place the pot on a pebble tray or use a small humidifier nearby. Keep the plant away from cold drafts, maintaining a temperature between 60–80°F (15–26°C).

Trim back long vines to encourage bushier growth or allow them to climb for a mature, sculptural look. When repotting every 2–3 years, use a well-draining soil mix containing bark, perlite, and coco coir. Propagation is simple through stem cuttings in water or sphagnum moss, making it easy to share with friends or expand your collection.
